Feathers “New York” Dress / Vintage Accessories / Zara flats

After admiring the serene runway looks from New York designer Yeohlee‘s Spring Runway 14 show and chatting with her intellectual crowd (think gallerists, museum curators, architects, artists), we captured some snaps at the Jones Wood Garden where the show was held, not long before we were banned from taking photos at this ‘private property’ actually… Yeohlee’s show was such a contrast to all the other NYFW shows: tranquillity and zen prevailed. It was without fanfare, no celebrities were in sight, and the garments spoke in volume. I cannot wait to show you the looks in the next post.
So what did I don to the show? The heat in NY was starting to cloud my sartorial choice, but luckily the bright apricot hue of this Feathers “New York” frock spoke to me from the corner of my wardrobe. It was a no brainer. I’m in New York, going to a New York designer’s show, in an iconic New York location. Sleek, minimal, and comfortable, it was the best choice for my 7 months pregnant belly. And the most priceless memory from the day? Since I forgot to bring my clothes steamer, Hubby improvised with a hairdryer to rid the creases from my dress as we hastily got ready for Yeohlee’s show. It worked a treat. And the best-husband-in-the-world just added another description to his title: personal presser.

我穿了什么呢？纽约炎热的天气使我的服装选择迟钝了很多，但幸亏我带上了这条明亮的杏色裙子。它的名字叫“纽约裙”。简约，舒适，这是对我怀孕7个月的肚子最好的选择。那天，裙子其实原有很多皱纹，但我亲爱的丈夫耐心地用电吹风一个个将它们吹掉。他真的是世界上最棒的丈夫。[/spoiler]
