I’ve been looking for an iPad case for eons. Was hoping that this vintage Escada clutch would fit my favourite gadget, but it is not accommodating enough; then a Chloe iPad clutch I had my eye on Net-a-Porter was sold out, I thought, this is the end!!! That is, until I received (finally, after waiting over 6 months) my Karla Spetic clutch! I’d ordered it after seeing it at Rosemount Fashion Week. The leather is so soft I think the juxtaposition of a hard electronic device inside it is just brilliant.

Not sure if you noticed, but my skirt is actually a top! :) Where there’s a will, there’s a way. Can you see where I disguised the spaghetti straps? This beautiful 2 toned Violet & I camisole is elasticised so I took advantage of the silken cami and pushed it down my waist (hmm this is sounding a little iffy) to serve me as a skirt with a peplum. Actually love it even more as a skirt. The elastic waist band allows me to pig out and the peplum adds ladylike charm.

Just had to show you the back of this Gasparre Cashmere top. The low back features a leather strip that keeps the sleeves in check. I can’t think of a more luxurious pairing of leather and cashmere, definitely a marriage in hedonistic heaven.
There’s nothing like great design.
Where: On route to have lunch with friends
Wear: Vintage sunnies, necklace (last seen here) and cuffs (previously worn here), Gasparre Cashmere dress (worn as top), Violet & I silk camisole, Karla Spetic leather clutch, Repetto slingback booties and wind

Due to popular demand, I’ve made another post dedicated to gold. To add class, glamour, originality, or just a bit of sparkle, don’t be affraid to pile on gold items. These ladies show us just how easy it is to look a million-dollars with just a few touches of gold.

I know this is a gold post and our focus is on the lady on the right, but I cannot help but notice and admire the gorgeous metallic shorts-suit Rachel Bilson is wearing! This is my favourite look for Bilson to date. The clutch compliments her already stunning outfit perfectly. The red clutch is gorgeous too.

I would love to find out where she got her black and gold leather biker jacket from. It is exquisite, so unique!

A 3-tiered silk dress with a bow at the waist- genius. Great heels too. She must be a model.
Ralph Lauren pants look like dazzling jewels under the setting sun. She is stunning and her outfit is so understated stylish.

This is Jane Aldridge’s gold octapus ring. See how its legs hug around her index finger?

Gold pedal-pushers? Yes please! I love her cool and slouchy look and those pumps!

Jane’s mom-Atlantis Home, who is Jane’s original creative fashion influence, has a very enviable wardrobe. Check out her amazing outfit! I love the belt and her Stella McCartney heels. Recently I purchased a very good copy from Nine West.
Tell me your favorite gold moment.

I don’t think I have met anyone who doesn’t like blue, or Alexa Chung, for the matter. Blue is a great colour- the colour of the ocean, of pretty eyes and gorgeous frocks. I have a blue Pauric Sweeney bag and I tend to wear blue a lot in summer, see this post.
If you like blue as well, you are in for a treat. Here are some gorgeous fashionistas posing in the azure attires for your browssing. Hope you enjoy these pictures!

I cannot tell if this Marion Cotilard lookalike is wearing a dress or a jumpsuit. Great hue!

Now I will know what to do with tops that are too big- gather the excess material and pin it!

I get really distracted by what the market is offering in the background but this girl’s blue outfit is sweet and comfortable. I love the key necklace!

One of my favourite models at the moment. Is she wearing a Fendi cape? So well-dressed, her legs are ridiculously thin. Great boots!

I would love to find out where this young lady got her leather jacket! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a biker in blue before. Love the studs and her floral skirt.

Doesn’t she look amazing for her age! I love that necklace and her sandals. The lady on her left is in an Alexander Wang jumper.

I caught up with a good friend of mine as she is leaving next week to be a vet in the UK. She will be sorely missed. Who am I going to go to Borders and read endless fashion magazines with? Who will have breakfast, lunch or dinner with me upon request? Who will I dress up next? =P
We had breakfast on Chapel. I had a New York breakfast for the first time. The creamy cheese on bagel with salmon and rocket salad was an absolute joy to my system.

The dogs wanted to come too, but they’re usually not welcome in restaurants. I wore a a Akanuke dress (vintage Japanese), with a gladiator belt, bangles from the Zurich flea market and a blue lizard skin clutch.

After brekkie, we trekked down to Borders and had our usual literary feast.
I have never seen such a well-dressed young lady working at Borders before. I begged her for a picture but silly me, forgot to ask her where her stunning neckpiece came from. I love her olive silk blouse and python shoes also.
I have walked up and down Chapel St thousands of times, but today was the first time I noticed this gorgeous building! Gotta love all the arches, Corinthian columns and eagles.

Plautus once said : “Nothing but heaven itself is better than a friend who is really a friend.” I’d say ‘amen’ to that. Have an awesome trip Jo. See you soon.
