Hello lovelies! How did you all enjoy the long weekend? Originally I’d hoped to escape Melbourne and head to somewhere relaxing, but a bestie’s wedding prevented that plan from coming to fruition, as I wouldn’t have missed it for the world. The couple was blessed with beautiful weather and a loving crowd. Aside from serving the most scrumptious wedding cake (chocolate, orange and berry), the wedding boasted the most heart-wrenching speeches. Luckily my Dior Shadow mascara is tear-resistant, otherwise a panda face would not have been a good match for my lace dress. Planning this weekend made me reminisce about our last weekend away from home, where we had the pleasure of residing in the Iconic Suite of one of the most luxurious hotels in Melbourne. In true Cecylia-shenanigans style, I introduce you to: InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto.
Livia Arena Dress / Vintage belt / Erstwilder Earrings (from Birdsnest.com.au) / Mischa Designs bag / Tony Bianco heels
Yes it’s Mischa bag again, it’s such a fun and bright tote-it-all. This bag was all I brought to our weekend away at InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto. I told you that I travel light :) In case you haven’t read my interview with the hotel on ‘How to Travel Light’, here it is. I also want to introduce you to Melbourne designer Livia Arena, in case you have not heard of her. A designer who knows how to fuse function with form for the modern lady. This wool dress is super warm and it has pockets! It features a gorgeous midi-length with an ingenious cutout on the back hem, see what I mean in the first photo :) I’ve really been embracing wool dresses in winter, they’re comfortable and chic. Today we are having friends over for brunch. Hubby and I will be cooking up a storm, I’m roasting 10 different vegetables and will be making some mean sausage rolls. I’ll sneak a photo on Instagram for you, and no doubt you’ll see me sporting a wool dress :)
Such a beautiful hotel! I remember heading to the Reebonz sale there, but sadly I admit I was more obsessed with the bags than the beautiful surroundings, haha!
Such a nice dress, I really like it with the bright blue belt. Will be so easy to accessories in so many different ways.
Hope you have a delicious brunch and time with friends! :)
Away From Blue
