I bought my first garment from New-Zealand-born Australian-based designer Amy Kaehne. She is one of these young emerging designers that is steadily and surely setting her name to be one to watch and her label one to follow.

Amy is inspired by Tim Burton’s creativity and together with her meticulous use of the finest fabrics in classic cuts with a modern twist, her garments are bound to last and to be treasured forever. At least this is what I thought when I got my Amy Kaehne cape! See these beautiful photos from her SW10 collection. And yes our boutique stocks her latest SS11 collection and she has made gorgeous summer capes! Be a heroine, at all times.

This Amy Kaehne cape is going to be one of my all time favourite Fall staples. Wrapped in wool and silk, luxury and comfort doesn’t get much better than this. Plus the cape comes with a scarf and pockets! The Hello brooch is a treaured souvenir from a talented London-based young emerging designer (sorry I’ve forgotten her name!) who hand-sewed all of her quirky creations. Spitalfields Market is awesome for finding unusual accessories. You would have seen the brooch in this post ‘Secret Identity’ as well.
Posing at a friend’s house, thanks Mairs for letting me use your staicase as a meaningful back drop. This photo reminds me that every day we ought to strive for something higher, better, not in a selfishly ambitious way, but in single steps, one baby step at a time.

As you know, Cecylia is the sole Australian stockist for London label Felder Felder. The Felder twin-sisters have a cult following in the UK and their clothes just attract the right amount of media and attention from celebrities. Rhianna has long been a fan of Felder Felder. Their AW11 collection arrived and the pieces are even more gorgeous in real life than seen on the runway. This wool dress featured below has silk organza and beading details. Very demure and ladylike. Their belts are just as striking as their clothes.

Felder Felder SS10- lots of black and many studs.

As many of you already know we are a proud stockist of Melbourne-based jewellery label Damselfly. You would have seen the beautiful Christianna, creator and designer of Damselfly on this post. Her Dream Weaver collection is all hand-made from gold chains and Agate stones. They are so beautifully crafted and we will demonstrate how lovely they are when worn.

The short-chain necklace has a YSL-feel to it. Worn with Spijkers en Spijkers dress and Karla Spetic cashmere blend short-sleeved jacket.

One of my favourite collections from Paris Fashion Week was from my favourite pair of Dutch twin sisters- Truus and Riet, creators of Spijkers en Spijkers. Their AW10/11 collection is classic and modern and very wearable. Vogue Italia wrote an article about them, which you can see here. They knew camel is huge for winter this year and they incorporated it heavily in their Fall collection. I’ve kept these photos for over 6 months before I could show them to you. But now that the collection is in store, I can disclose these to you to my heart’s content!

Wearing a wool cropped jacket, Miss Sixty top, vintage brocade skirt and YSL ring. The Fall collection was inspired by the movie Metropolis.
This is my favourite piece from the collection. As you know I’m an avid lover of jumpsuits, rompers and playsuits alike. See this post for example. I especially love this Spijkers en Spijkers one because I can wear it in winter, whereas all my other jumpsuits are summer varieties. Here it is featured in a magazine editorial. Exquisite.

This is the ‘Michael Jackson’ jacket which is so-named by me because of its metallic sheen. This jacket is featured on the front cover of their look book. Love it!

These blazers have a semicircle cut-out collar which allows showing off of neck pieces. I like!
Here I am with Truus, one twin sister and one half of the talented designer duo. The jewellery used for their runway is from MAWI (pronounced ‘Moi’) which we also stock, you can see more of their pieces here.
Just a quirky fact on the side: in Melbourne we kiss once on the cheek, in Paris everyone does it twice on both cheeks but apparently the Dutch do it 3 times! That’s why I bumped heads with Truus and missed the 3rd cheek kiss. How embarassing!

Now if you want more than a sneak peak at the collection, you know where to find us. Spijkers en Spijkers, only stocked at Cecylia in Australia.
