A month ago we ordered one of the last velvet ‘Kate’ dresses from Karla Spetic. The 3 knot dress is a signature piece from her collection, you may have seen the ‘Fontaine’ dress from her previous collection, they all have 3 knots but they are placed differently each season. The velvet dress is a stunner and I was hoping to buy it for myself. But a beautiful lady came and whisked it away after the dress had not even landed in the shop for 24 hours. Same with the Aris Geldis Paris necklace, how huge are the Swarovski crystals?. Both beauties gone…

So we replaced the dress with another Karla creation- the 2 tone grey Bree dress.

Left: Alldressedup silk singlet and cotteon shorts, Karla Spetic silk printed jacket
Right: Alldressedup silk blouse with Spijkers en Spijkers skirt; Felder Felder spike belt.
Which outfit is your favourite?

Recently I had my bloggerversary party as my blog turned one years old! The theme was ‘favourite accessory’ so after much debate, I decided to debut my red Chloe pumps.
I’m wearing a Felder Felder silk dress from their Fall09 collection, which is difficult to believe as their current collection is so hip and hardcore. This dress has more subtle elegance and no one could believe that it was made by the Felder sisters. We had a customer who came and bought the sparkly Felder Felder dress (see the mannequin behind me)!

We had plenty of cupcakes, sushi and champers. I’m wearing my favourite self-made necklace, my favourite belt (gift from a bestie for my 18th) and my vintage pearl bracelet.

And here is the beautiful Jess in the Gail Sorronda Vashti dress, Hermes bangles, Chanel clutch and YSL pumps. She looks dazzling. The mannequin has a Spijkers en Spijkers dress, an Alldressedup silicon bow belt and a Bezoar Cashmere V-neck jumper on.

Shoe envy alert! I’m caging in.

Jess was so sweet to attend despite the fact that she had to go to a ball! And she was no doubt the Belle of the Ball.

I have to tell you a funny story about the first night we arrived in Paris. The hotel I booked over the telephone in my broken francais was not what I had expected it to be when we arrived… all the surrounding hotels were fully booked because of the huge influx of customers here for Paris Fashion Week. It was freezing and 10pm on Friday night, and we had no hotel. Thank the Lord, we managed to find a hotel that would take us, the same hotel we stayed at last time -Grande Hotel de l’Univers. It sounds much more grand than it is but it is a pretty decent place. Even the concierge was the same! I was so pleased to see him. He told us all the cool places to eat.

Our hotel is really pretty, in the heart of St Germain and a stroll away from everywhere.

I love the French antique furniture and the buffet breakfast every morning. Here I am in a Miss Sixty jumper, Nudie jeans, vintage boots and Callia wool coat. I stole hubby’s cashmere scarf.

The Ritz on the other hand is really grand. The walkway to the MeMy showroom in the Ritz.

Checking my emails at the Business centre at the Ritz. I love my Pauric Sweeney bag! More on him later =)

Our hotel is nowhere posh and dazzling like the Ritz, but it was a pleasure to stay in.
