Yesterday was my first ever Mother’s Day. My Mum and Mum-in-law’s first ever Grandmother Day, and my nanna’s first ever Great Grandmother Day! I am so blessed to have these strong yet humble women in my life. They all have made so many sacrifices to bring up their children. Being a Mum is one of the most difficult occupations in the world. Just try listing the skillset of a mother, you’d have an epic CV! I knew that being a Mum would be hard work (hence why I shied away from it for many years), but now I finally realise that it is also a joy and a privilege.
A mother’s love is like a blanket. Recently it’s been quite chilly in Melbourne so I’ve been rugging Winston up in this Uh-Oh Baby Blanket. To be honest, when I’m at home, sometimes I steal it and wear it as a shrug, hehehe… Who says that helicopters, bikes and trucks are just for boys?
Yesterday my Uniqlo puffer tagged along on Mother’s Day. Lately it’s become my safety blanket. You know, I used to look at Mums that sport the puffer vest/leggings/sneakers ensemble and think ‘I’d never wear that!’ But somehow with my changing lifestyle (so much lifting and bending!) and fashion’s love affair with all things athletic, I’m morphing more and more into one of those Mums… Soon I’ll be swapping my heels for runners!

昨天是我第一个母亲节。我妈妈和我婆婆第一个奶奶节，我奶奶的第一个太奶奶节！我很感恩我的生命中有这些坚强又谦虚的女人。她们都因为养育孩子牺牲很多。做妈妈是这世上最难的工作。只需写下每个母亲的技能，你就有一个可观的个人简历！我知道当妈不容易（所以这么多年我都没想过），但现在我终于意识到当妈也是有乐趣很荣幸的一件事。
母亲的爱就像是一张毯子。最近几天墨尔本挺冷的，我一直把Winston包在这个Uh- Oh婴儿毯里面。老实说我在家的时候也会偷偷把它当衣服裹在身上，呵呵呵。。。谁说飞机，自行车和卡车只能是男生的？
昨天我在母亲节穿了Uniqlo羽绒衫。它最近成了我的安全毯。要知道我以前看到妈妈羽绒衣/内搭裤/球鞋的装扮还在想说“我一定不会这么穿！”当我改变生活方式以后（多了很多抗和弯腰的动作！）当时尚倾向于运动风以后，我变得越来越像那样的妈妈啦。。。很快我就会放弃高跟鞋该穿球鞋啦！ [/spoiler]

No shame in swapping the heels for runners, I have a feeling you’ll do it fashionably! Besides there are so many fab sneakers out there and athletic wear is having it’s moment in fashion. So you couldn’t have picked a better time to do it :)
