Recently I befriended a great girl named Abby. She visited me at the boutique one day and became the proud owner of an Alldressedup wool crepe peacoat and a Spijkers en Spijkers silk Big Star dress. This is my favourite piece from their SS10 collection! Her new purchases certainly suit her bubbly and bright personality! Thank you Abby!

When our boutique opened, friends and family flocked for a little party. There were lots of finger food, beautiful conversations and warm memories from that night. It was so sweet to see so much support from our loved ones.

This is Jin – my lovely graphic designer who designed our shop logo, see here. You will see that she has incorporated the cupcake, the bow as well as coat hangers onto our frame. These embody ‘sweet, chic, boutique.’
Jin is so sweet she even got me a celebratory cupcake, even though we had gorgeous ones made by Cupcake Central.

The icing is the same colour as my jacket! I ate it in 2 bites.

Jin’s admiring the light shoulder pads in a Felder Felder bodycon dress.

Here is the beautiful Vicki. You would have seen here on this post.

Here I am delivering an emotional thank-you speech to family and friends. I’m wearing a navy jumpsuit I got from Paris, vintage brooch and Zara blazer.

Jin’s amazing big bag is a vintage find. Vicki snatched up a beautiful silk clutch from Alldressedup that night. Our boutique would not be alive without the love and support of our friends. I love you all!
A while ago I came across a winter collection that was a sophisticated mix of edgy glamour, Jenni Kayne. She is relatively new to the fashion market but she is already earning a huge reputation as the next best thing on an international level. If you scroll down, you will not be surprised to see why. My attempt to describe her clothes would be a perfect mix of Alexander Wang (dark colours, edgy streetwear) and 3.1 Phillip Lim (classic, first-lady looks). Each look is sharp, strong and sexy. Definitely for the stylish woman unafraid to leave a lasting impression.
“Her collections show a sophistication and wearability that are the staples of classic American design. Irreverence, underscored by taste and restraint, dominates collections consistently filled with luxurious must-haves and modern yet timeless pieces. Sequins in the day, white for winter, and fur for everyday are signature concepts that exemplify the Jenni Kayne mentality.”
This look reminds me of Phillip Lim’s a bit.
I love the white door backdrop, the spotlight and attention is all on the clothes. “Ageless collections for women who live in their clothing.” This is Kayne’s vision. Her pieces can be worn and treasured from one decade to the next. Her clothes do not age and I am digging her craft.
