Found this absurdly long denim dress of Himalayan proportions in an opshop and nearly didn’t take it home with me! On second thought, a belt and some buttons undone could do it justice. Plus, the pockets charmed me. They always do. How versatile is denim! You can roll around in dirt and it will hide a multitude of sins. Definitely the best invention since sliced bread. Here’s an A.P.C denim dress you may like.
I was stoked when Georg Jensen, agreed to lend me a few of my favourite pieces from their online store. The Alliance necklace, Sterling Cuff, Moonlight Grapes Ring and Sphere Ring are light, versatile and luxurious. It nearly killed me to have to return them! Can you tell that I got dressed in the car after working as a vet? C’mon Sherlock! See the creases in the dress? No time for ironing. Lack of nail polish = vet day. And the makeup-less face, too tired to care, hence the shades.
Recently my brother-in-law acquired the Samsung Galaxy Note. I recall thinking how colossal it was and how rebellious he was for not buying an iPad. Little did I know that when geeks choose gadgets, they do their research. Which is why when my equally nerdy husband recommended that I should look at the Samsung models to replace my own phone, I did a little research….
Did you also groove to the music? :)
So what’s your new phone, you ask. Well I got it last weekend and haven’t stopped talking about it to everyone because I’m absolutely smitten. It’s the only phone (currently) that has the same technology as the tablet shown in the video. Never in my life have I been so exuberant about a telephone device. And I’ve had a my fair share of phones, from LG, Motorola, Nokia, Sony Ericson, to HTC, but none of them compares to my new Samsung Nexus.
The reason I chose this phone forsaking all others is because of its large screen (BIG is BETTER!), rounded borders (yes I’m all about the looks) and it has no shutter lag, which equates to a ridiculously fast camera (it takes consecutive photos without having to ‘think’, so very runway-ready!). No more waiting for my phone to process a photo whilst I miss out on the next model strutting down the catwalk! It has facial recognition technology so it knows its owner and it turns off like a TV!
Apparently most tech-savvy clients (aka nerds) chose the Samsung Nexus because it has the new Android 4.0 software, called Ice-cream Sandwich. They name each software upgrade after a dessert, (another thing I love about them:), the last version for Samsung tablets was called Honeycomb, the ones before that Gingerbread, Froyo, Éclair, Donut and Cupcake. How do I know this? I’m married to a nerd :)
Hubby says that he’s now up against stiff competition because of my obsession with the phone. The Samsung Nexus has literally become my PA. I can easily update all of my social media pages: Facebook and Twitter, organise my emails, take great photos and blog! Plus…I’m no longer an Instagram virgin!
I must admit, I do drool when I think of Ice-cream Sandwich…
Do you have a Samsung phone or tablet? What do you think of them?
