Happy first day of October lovelies! Remember how I said here that I’m finally making progress with finding balance with my health and fitness? Well, here are a few of the changes I’ve been making:
1. Eating more vegetables
2. Prioritizing sleep
3. Walking and Running more, thanks to the help of my Vivofit 2!
See that WALL-E-like device on my wrist? That’s the Vivofit 2. It’s an activity tracker that records the wearer’s daily steps, distance covered, kilojoules burnt, and also functions as a watch. It syncs with my Garmin Connect Mobile app so I can keep track of my fitness progress. Whether it’s walking, running or dancing, the Vivofit 2 is a serious prompter! I’ve been wearing my Vivofit 2 for over 2 months now and absolutely love it. It’s changed my life! I find it very motivating to see the number of steps taken each day, and am not satisfied until I reach the goal. Whenever I get to my step goal, the Vivofit 2 beeps to congratulate. But if I don’t move for an extended period of time (say if I sit on my butt for an hour), it will also beep to remind me to walk. It’s like having a personal trainer on the back of my hand!
I’ve tried other wrist trackers before but what I love about the Vivofit 2 is that I don’t have to charge it every night! It boasts a battery that lasts for a year. My favourite form of exercise is running, I kickstarted my fitness a month ago by committing to the ‘Couch to 5km’ running plan and I haven’t wavered. It’s surprising because I hated running when I was younger, but now that I’ve slowly built up my fitness with the program, I love it!
I’d like the Newport bands as the darker colours suit my skin tone, but the white patterns give it great detail.
Dancing! It feels like play but is such a great workout. I like the Newport best! Thanks!
My favorite form of exercise is the combination of yoga, Pilates and thai chi. After a stressful and hard day of juggling motherhood, workloads and managing an ongoing battle with house duities, nothing better then an hour bums, tums and stretches…… That’s if I can have access to a quiet room and a Disney or sports free tv………. Otherwise I grab the runners and head off for a 30 minute cardio pushed jog with 90’s music blaring through my tiny ear phones. Bliss. Nothing could make these two things better…. Except maybe a sweat decreasing potion and a vivifit 2 in Newport…… Perfection!
My favourite exercise is going for a brisk was with my gorgeous dog, come rain, hail or shine! When I need to see the world a little differently, I love to turn to yoga inversions and arm balances, I love the challenge and trust that comes with the poses :). Palm beach is my favourite colour combination :)

Favorite is Newport
My favorite sport is squash. I having been playing for 40 years now. It is a huge part of my life as not only has it kept me fit over the years, I have made some very dear friends. Squash has not only been great for my fitness and physical health but is also great for my mental health as well as I meet many new people and get out and socialise.
Swimming and cycle would by my favorite! The peacefulness of swimming is great to relieve stress. The speed sensation and the wind against your face when going downhill after a climb is just awesome during cycling.
My favourite exercise is dancing to cheesy music like Taylor swift or Britney Spears!

My favourite exercise is Pilates. It strengthens and tones your core muscles without putting too much strain on your joints. I usually leave my class with jelly legs and the next day I have the good kind of pain :) Both palm beach and Newport look great I like both ^-^
