If you’ve been living under a rock or haven’t picked up a fashion magazine in the past 2 years, then I can still trick you into believing that this is a ‘sports luxe’ look. The new sporty getup is just as its name suggests, quite glam and couture-inspired. Quite unachievable methinks. Hence why my attempt to look anything sporty or luxurious isn’t all that convincing. But I have an excuse. I still maintain that the term ‘sports luxe’ is an oxymoron. Exercise is not a luxury. It cannot be. It involves exertion, hard work, exercising of the will (the most stubborn muscle we possess), pushing oneself through physical and psychological barriers, sweating, and wearing things containing lycra. I rest my case. In my youth, I was a sprinter and a hockey player. Didn’t play any more sport other than that. I wasn’t good at chess either but I did enjoy the Beep Test. I’ve never set foot in the gym, except to pose with dumbbells. Thankfully the only exercise I did at Mansion Hotel & Spa at Werribee Park (check out my previous post of the magnificent mansion here) was a massage. I exercised. In reverse.

So how do you achieve the sports luxe look you ask? Well where there’s a will, there will always be a way. A way via Net-a-Porter of course. All style roads lead to Net-a-Porter. To actually channel Sports Luxe, aside from owning a cap and white pumps or metallic heels, you may want to invest in a Bomber, embrace Perforations (perfect imperfections aka ‘holes’), add a splash of white and slide into a pair of sneakers. But if you’re a gym junkie, you won’t want to go past[HERE].

那么，该如何穿运动豪华？当然是通过Net-a-Porter！所有风格条条大路通向Net-a-Porter。要真正散发出豪华，除了拥有一顶帽子，白色或金属高跟鞋，你得投资一件飞行员夹克，爱上穿孔（那些在皮包和皮鞋上无数的“洞”），添加白色的衣着和一双运动鞋。但是，如果你是一个健身房迷，你一定要到[这里]看看。

Add me to the list of people who think sports luxe is an odd thing! However I like the sporty jacket with the white dress and more luxe accessories – I think you nailed the look :) As odd as the term sports-luxe may be! :)

I love your jacket, but for me, I have two separate wardrobes. I actually exercise everyday ( in Lycra), then swap into non sporty for the rest of the day. Too many mums in ‘lux’ trackies have spoilt this look for me.
