I rarely feel giddy about bags. Ok, with the exception of the Celine Box. It was Paris 2010, I was visually saturated with images of editors clutching the bag-in-question, mentally delirious from jet-lag and emotionally completely overwhelmed by ridiculously rich Chinese tourists. Why were they buying designer-everything like they’re going out of fashion? Defenceless, I caught the luxury-bag-lady-contagion. Red was my choice. After failing to impress the Celine sales-Monsieur with my broken-French, he indicated to me that the Box is only now available in navy, because a Chinese hoard has just come. They came, they saw and they conquered, Celine. The thought of ‘why couldn’t they buy me one (I’m Chinese too!) or why they leave me one?!” did cross my mind. But God knows a sinner like me too well. I don’t deserve one. And I never follow the mass. He saved me from committing a copy-cat crime. Plus true love is worth waiting for. Fast forward 3 years in Melbourne, meet my new flame: the Jacki Anderson “Chloe”.

I’m very excited to tell you that I’ll be heading up to Sydney next week for MBAFW. I have been so blessed to find an awesome retreat to stay that is literally 1 minute away from the shows, so there’s no excuse for being late (more details in a later post:). Believe it or not, this year my travels have been sponsored by Groupon.
