I wore a vintage top, Natalia Brilli necklace, Yeojin Bae skirt and Repetto heels
Yesteday morning I attended the first meet up of the League of Extraordinary Women in 2013 at the exquisite Rose Cafe in Port Melbourne. I’ve wanted to go since its inception 2 years ago as Sheryl (creator of Cupcake Central), the cupcake supplier of my previous boutique, co-founded it. But work, my inability to rise early and the fact that I’m far from being ‘extraordinary’ prevented me from visiting. But as you know, I’ve been given a new lease of life this year, plus the desire to meet extraordinary female entrepreneurs propelled me to jump out of bed before sunrise, get dressed like a pink rainbow, and not forget to bring the camera. The League is a treat. We had the pleasure of hearing Crystal, of Clinical Lase speak about the startup of her business experience. It was raw. It was real. Crystal had a goal. Despite the sacrifices and scrutinies, through her strive for excellence and sheer hard work, she achieved success. I felt goosebumps as some segments of her story echoed what I’d been through with my previous boutique. Her courageous determination and daring tenacity was contagious. I know when I’ll be heading to next time I want to feel energized, inspired and motivated again. The League of Extraordinary Women meet once a month, hope to see you there one morning! Feel free to wake me up…
