The beauty of separates is that they are super versatile. Take this outfit for example, the blouse was last seen [HERE], teamed with a wool skirt (which I’m yet to wear as a strapless dress in the distant future), the skirt last worn [HERE] was married with a lace-sleeved shirt, and the red heels, last adorned [HERE], was part of my road trip wardrobe. I speak about this because one of my new year’s resolutions is to wear the neglected members of my wardrobe, and of course, to create nouveau ways of teaming them together. The others are mission impossibles like dumping my sweet lover, sugar, read a book a week, and to master the piano. What are your new year’s resolutions?

A good start to the year is embracing what you have, appreciating all, not just the favorites and shopping in your own closet. Amazing what you can find! I wish you luck on the sugar kick- I think you will feel sooo much better for it, and I too want to read more again and play my musical instruments.
