As loyal readers of my blog, you’ll instantly recognise this green blouse (if you don’t, come back more often :) or simply click here to see what I’m on about) but you may not have met my accordion-inspired skirt. Found in a random boutique in Shanghai 5 years ago, its ingenious design of pleated ribbons weaving in an orderly manner on a bed of lace captured my style radar. Skater-skirt style wasn’t in full swing (sorry for the pun) until last summer so it hung patiently in my wardrobbe ’til now…its artistic composition and minimalistic shape has elevated itself from a LBS (Little Black Skirt) to le pièce de résistance (AKA: Hero Skirt). The Lumière*-like candelabra brooch from Miss Bibi (the cutest Parisian jewellery label) and the folded heart ring added some fairy-tale charm to these nightscapes.

Who knew that a Melbourne tram stop shelter could be the backdrop of so much frivolity and drama! Ding Ding! Happy Hump Day lovelies!
