I may be a reformed sugar addict but I’m still a sweet-tooth at heart. I still go all gooey at the sight of pretty desserts. Luckily though, I gave my restraint muscles a day off when I attended the delectable Om Nom High Tea at the Adelphi Hotel yesterday. The artistically crafted morsels offered a full spectrum of colour and flavour, but weren’t overly heavy or voluminous. I was left satisfied, not stuffed.
Head Chef Christy Tania （ex-Vue de Monde and Jacques Reymond), in collaboration with Le Petit Gateau’s Pierrick Boyer, (who created my favourite sweet mouthfuls, the Mister Green Tea and Choc Peanut Raspberry Gateau) designed this unique three-tiered platter. Definitely not your average High Tea Menu, our palettes were treated to tempura fish with soba noodles and fois-gras macarons with fig, just to name a few. Oh, and I almost forgot the dessert cocktails!

It was such a delicious afternoon especially because I was able to bring hubby, bubby and even my mother-in-law to enjoy the Om Nom experience. I am so blessed to have a mother-in-law who is like a best friend to me. She has given me many ideas for my blog, looks after Winston when we are busy (for example, at this event) and some of my favourite outfits are gifts from her. The luscious afternoon tea was simply sublime. Who’s that someone who makes your life sweeter? Why not become om-nom-nomnivores with them at Om Nom? :)

[spoiler title=”中文版”]虽然我不像以前那样有零食瘾，但我仍然爱吃甜的点心，尤其是漂亮的甜点。昨天下午我参加了阿德菲酒店的甜点下午茶。每道菜有艺术感， 既好吃，又漂亮。主厨Christy Tania与Le Petit Gateau 甜点店的厨师PierrickBoyer（他创造了我最喜欢的几口甜点，杨梅绿茶和巧克力花生蛋糕）合作设计了这款独特的三层拼盘的甜点。这可不是一般的下午茶菜单，他们还特地创作了迷你鸡尾酒的甜点。

yeah it was a super sweet treat to be able to bring Winston!!! I think he wished that he could eat the cakes too :D Yes we are so blessed to have beautiful mother in laws.
