Still on topic of regressing to or should I say, embracing, childhood, I found an old pencil case recently. My eyes lit up when the swirling paisley print caught my style radar. In case you’re raising your eyebrows about the paisley trend, take your eyes for a wander [HERE] and [HERE]. Now are you convinced? Something I used to think was as daggy as a sheep’s behind is now indubitably in vogue. So much so, I was willing to entrust my most valuable possesions with it. The pouch can be clutched like an envelope bag, or if you’re feeling adventurous, I’m going to tell you 2 DIY ideas:
1. Fold the top zip down and add press studs under it for security, or…
2 Simply stick some velcro strips to keep the flap from… flapping. Easy peasy!
Wearing paisley on paisley definitely reitrates the theme to those who may otherwise mistake your trendiness for your passion for pieces from your granma’s closet. Although there is absolutely nothing wrong with being in love with your grandmother’s wardrobe. *cough cough* I know, to prove a point, I really should have worn paisley bottoms too. But the truth is, I am still hanging out for that perfect pair of paisley jeans. Until then, I’ll keep my eyes peeled for them [HERE] and [HERE]. What do you think of the paisley trend? Would you take your pencil case out as a clutch?
