Last week I attended Rosemount Australian Fashion Week. We were super excited to check into our Sydney hotel – Park8, near Hyde Park. It was probably a combination of our long stay and the fact that hubby was from the same country as the concierge, as well as some divine intervention that we were blessed enough to be upgraded to a double-story loft apartment on the top floor. Our hotel room became our home-away-from-home.
Don’t judge a show by its invitation.
After a big eating day I had to wear something loose for Day One. The trusty ipad became my tour guide.
These wool cuffs were hand-knitted by my Mom. I love them no end.
Before I had a chance to get my delegate badge, a spunky dude from Famous magazine wanted a picture. Of my bag. But surprisingly a friend from Facebook told me that she saw me as part of the street-style page. Yes, this week’s Famous magazine. I look really bloated in the photo…naturally after having 6 meals the day before…
I’m actually wearing this silk Vanessa Bruno dress (from the Outnet) back to front. It made more sense to have the short hem at the front.
Then the gorgeous Jessie from We The People street-style blog asked me to fling my hem. I was terrible at it.
Check out her blog, I am an addict now! Even though I’m not actually featured on it (really shouldn’t have had 6 meals the day before), it was an honour to meet her.
So here’s my secret, I don’t walk in 6 inch heels to the shows everyday, I wear my Repetto babies. I carry my heels and then swap once I reach the destination. It’s the French way.
What I wore:
Vanessa Bruno dress/Mawi necklace*/Cuffs Mom knitted for me/Pauric Sweeney bag/YSL pumps
*The Mawi necklace is available to be purchased at our boutique, please email cc@cecylia.com for details
I think you look amazing in that dress!
