You may recall that during my first pregnancy, I had the privilege of working with Soon Maternity to feature a series of their figure-flattering maternity dresses. This time round, I didn’t expect to be on their radar because I had been living under a social media/blogging rock for so long.
To my surprise, they got in touch. Further to my delight, not long ago, Soon Maternity had a makeover. The pieces have never been more chic. I feel very honoured to be able to introduce to you some more of their designs!Take this ‘Krystal dress‘ for example, its V neck and strategic ruching is so flattering that even on a day when I’ve had cake for breakfast and lunch (it was my mom’s birthday), it doesn’t make me an eyesore. And even though it’s not technically a ‘nursing dress’. The V neck and stretchy fabric makes it breats-feeding friendly, so I’m looking forward to wearing this frock soon sans belly.
A question Soon Maternity asked me on an interview recently is “What can’t you live without this pregnancy?” ‘Vegetables & Vitamins’ sprang to my mind immediately. As I mentioned in this post, I’ve been blessed with even better health this time round.
During my first regnancy, I refused to take vitamins because I foolishly thought that I didn’t need them. Pride was my Achilles’ heel. As a result, I succumbed to colds and flus and each time they overstayed their welcome. This time round, due to a busy work-ministry-mothering-schedule and plenty of sleep deprivation, I admitted defeat early on and so obediently supplemented my diet with daily vitamins. My dear mother also created a veggie patch for us so garlic-sautéed-greens are now a daily staple in our diet. Garlic, a natural antibacterial, combined with organic veggies, are a force to be reckoned with.
So if I put this question to you- ‘what can’t you live without?’ How will you respond? Leave a comment below, I’d love to find out about your life’s necessities!

That dress is stunning on you! :) I really like the gold coat with it too. I had a soon maternity dress and it made me feel so happy and confident – was a great maternity splurge!
I probably couldn’t have lived without chocolate in my last pregnancy, haha! I resisted the ice cream cravings until the 3rd trimester but I had a little piece of chocolate every night I couldn’t give up!
Yes the Soon Maternity dress sure is a treat! I’m thrilled that I can wear it whilst nursing too :) Ah you are so good! I’ve not held back from any treats :D
You look amazing pregnant again Cecylia! That dress is perfect for all occasions! And that coat, beautiful!
I craved coffee during pregnancy. Never have I drank it before and I know have one every other day! crazy!
xx
That’s such an interesting craving! Low quantity coffee definitely has its health benefits so it seems to have been a blessing in disguise Kirsty! The coat makes me look more whale-like but I love the raffia texture and craftsmanship :D
Hi, my name is Jason, and I’ve been collecting woodworking books for 10 years now. Thankfully, my wife understands, and I haven’t yet returned home to find my stack of books, my t-shirt, and both pairs of underwear ablaze on the front lawn. Somewhat related – there needs to be a book ABOUT Roy. There’s a great story there that hasn’t yet been recorded in an individual volume.
You would be better looking in a dictionary but I think conducive implies leading to something and you need to specify the something. Your lessons are conducive to good study.
