Fashion Week started calmly for the Kees. We had friends over for dinner on Sunday night and it was quite a sweet and domesticated affair. Thanks to Bugaboo, all 4 of us, Chian, Winston, I and our Bugaboo Cameleon pram made it safely to Sydney. And our airbnb apartment is a dream! I promise to show you photos of it in the coming days.
Day Two highlights included meeting bloggers (hello dear Kiri from Fashion Blender, see ab0ve) catching up with friends (it was so good to finally meet all 4 boys from Four Eyes blog), drooling over all the chic streetstyle (check out Montana McDonald’s white shirt dress and Celine sandals ensemble, my favourite look of the day! And Lee Olivera’s denim overalls, I need to raid Zara men’s section quick smart!) and admiring everything from the Bec & Bridge runway show. I knew it was going to be an incredible collection just by looking at the indigo shades backstage, but of course, there’s nothing quite like appreciating the pieces in real life, on professional clothes horses.
The point of this trip was to travel “in style” with a new bub. But unfortunately, due to various spanners-in-works, “How to travel in style with a newborn” quickly became “How to travel in style with a newborn, a broken phone and food poisoning”. This proved somewhat more challenging than the original brief and the third day of fashion week was almost a writeoff, except for a delightful interview with Julie Tran at the Four Seasons that I (almost literally) dragged myself to. In my delirium, I might have described my work ethic as “heads down, thumbs up”, which I’m pretty sure is a primary school game, rather than the phrase I was looking for. Hubby thinks it will catch on anyway.
Thankfully, I was ably assisted by my four-armed photographer (below), who brought you all of the photos in this post, and made me some chicken congee to help me back on my feet. Fashion Week Day Four, here I come!
So sorry to hear you got sick during fashion week! :(
Glad hubby could help you with the photos though – some lovely examples of street style! :) Hope you are feeling much better!
