Welcome back after the Easter break lovelies! Did you have a relaxing and rejuvenating time too? How blessed are we not only to have the gift of salvation but also to have such an extended holiday! I must admit, I was exhausted after Sydney fashion week. The hectic show schedule, a baby and food-poisoning took a toll on my energy levels.
Last week, round about 2pm every day, I was almost ready to conk out. But since I still have people to see, cookies to bake, blog posts to write and a baby to feed, I resorted to the one thing that would keep me going – chocolate. And not any chocolate. Toblerone. 400g of it. The stuff is so good I just couldn’t stop myself from devouring the entire block, plus I gave myself Easter as an excuse…
My healthy-eating habits flew out the window in exchange for momentary bliss. Sure enough, the cocoa, sugar and nougat got me going for a little while, but then the sugar coma, painful gums and guilt made me wish I could turn back time. I was once again reminded that happiness produced from junk food travels downwards exponentially.
When I eat well, I feel like I can take on the world, but when I’ve overindulged, I just want to curl up in a corner and wallow in a pit of regret and self-blame/shame. But thankfully, the glorious message of Easter, my ridiculously fit cousins and a few healthy meals got me back on my feet again, literally. As I mentioned in this post, after having Winston my eating habits have definitely improved. You’ll be glad to know that I hardly eat cakes any more, remember how they used to be my daily staples? However, as you can see, sometimes I still slip up, especially when chocolate is involved…
I wonder what things in your life get a hold of you. It is my prayer that you will get back on your feet and embrace a healthy lifestyle, because our lives are worth so much more than what we are addicted to.

Love that look
for its simplicity & elegance!
oooh that is a pretty jumper! :)
For what it’s worth, I think a little overindulgence at Easter, just like at Christmas, is normal :) While eating healthy is good, you can’t resist a little egg shaped chocolate now and then, haha! Glad you’re back to eating healthy and feeling good :)
lol I wasn’t eating just a little egg, I ate 2 of those giant 400g Toblerones….bad CC :D
So chic, love it <3

Mmm… Toblerone. It’s so good – I can see why you decided to indulge! But you look awesome and it sounds like you are committed to being fit and healthy which is great. Love this pretty skirt!
