Is it a sheer coincidence that the Noon by Noor SS13/14 show was shown at 12 noon? I think not, either. The name, Noon by Noor comes from the Arabic letter ‘N’ which is pronounced as ‘noon’. The bright hues, in lashings of cobalt and apricot, rich textures with petals cascading from bodices and dresses, as well as bold shapes, think voluminous peplums and skirts, nearly made me jump in my seat with glee. Luckily, my excitement was contained and the adrenalin surge did not made a monkey out of me.

Although the shapes are not exactly pregnancy-friendly, watching these dolled up looks inspired me to look forward to post-baby days. Each time a sunkissed models model walked by, I could imagine wearing the outfit to a different occasion: dinner parties, drinks with friends, wedding celebrations, lunch with the girls, Christmas festivities, exotic holidays, the Races and of course, fashion week! Well, fashion is a fantasy! It gives us a chance to daydream, to crave and to indulge our imaginations! Below are a couple of my favourite looks from the Noon by Noor Show.

So remember lovelies, this summer, keep the shapes boxy, the hues bold, the prints natural, the midfriffs bare and when in doubt, go midi or maxi instead of mini.
