I have a confession to make. I’ve neglected fashion for a little while. Since I’ve been pregnant and my mid-section decided to go AWOL, I’ve had to put fashion on the backburner. When I say fashion, I’m talking about those die-hard trends, the runway looks that ban any pregnant person from even contemplating about: you know, the midriff-baring, skin-showing, thigh-gracing and waist-hugging types. Yes “every day is worth dressing up for, especially when one’s pregnant”, but nowadays I only have one mission. It’s pretty simple: “To Fit“. Into anything.

Thankfully though, our recent babymoon to New York exposed me to a myriad of incredible street styles (which I’m yet to share with you, I promise they will be featured in the coming weeks!) and the latest runway looks (those too), that the dimming flame I had for fashion has become reignited. Now I’m literally counting down the days until I can prance around in crop tops and sheer pieces. Sounds like an impossibility doesn’t it? But I say “Bring it on!”

I blame it on have Brandon Sun’s Spring Summer 13/14 show to thank for. A genius Parsons graduate who has trained with Calvin Klein, worked with some of America’s greatest designer houses including J.Mendel and Oscar de la Renta, Brandon’s sophisticated shapes and tailoring is credit to his ability to translate his visions into modern and wearable garments. Seeing the models clad in his clean, strong and sophisticated pieces kind of ‘jump-started’ my love for fashion again.

The light weight fabrics, in delicious apricot and pistachio hues, meticulously tailored, complete with “plates” (the designer was inspired by Japanese female Samurais, hear more about them in the interview video below) was so modern and elegant I wanted to bring the entire collection home with me. But customs and my credit card would not allow it.

[spoiler title=”中文版”]我得承认一件事。其实自从我怀孕后，腰越来越不听从我的指挥后，我并没有怎么把时装当一会事。今年很多时髦的时装都不适合孕妇，ok一般时装都不怎么适合孕妇。你们都知道我经常说“每一天都是值得化妆的，尤其是当一个人怀着孕”，但现在我只有一个使命。就是能穿进什么衣服，就穿什么衣服。。。
不过还好，我们最近在纽约的宝宝蜜月让我接触到了无数令人难忘的街头风格（我知道我还没有与大家分享的，但我保证，在未来几周内一定为你们展出！）和最新的时髦时装。一下子我又对时装非常感兴趣了，迫不及待明年可以穿上这些当孕妇时不能穿的衣服。但我的身材将来如何就不太清楚了。。。

我得特别感谢Brandon Sun的春夏13/14时装秀。看到模特们穿着他干净并带着现代性线条的衣服使我对时装又依次充满了爱幕。美妙的杏色，浅绿色，轻巧的面料，精心的裁缝，是如此的优雅。我真希望把整个收集都带回家。但是，海关和我的信用卡却不允许。。。
