Do you believe in Love at First Sight? My husband does, apparently that was his response the day he met me. It was at a Buffy-marathon. I was completely unaware, had my back towards him, sitting by the piano, playing the keys and belting out a random mixture of Disney ballads and worship choruses. It was 2002 and 3am in the morning. My girlfriends joined in harmony and the boys were huddled around the pool table. Hubby had one eye fixed on the eight ball and the other on his beloved future wife. Fast forward a decade, that initial voyeuristic love has been well reciprocated (since approximately 5 months later after that fateful night/morning) and it does not grow dim. In fact, my dear husband understands the phenomenon so well that he was not surprised when I confided in him about my recent love-at-first-sight: a pair of violet leather Arezzo heels from Tragen.

Trust the Brazillians to create such a simple and yet ultra versatile design. If one day my life was transformed, and for the very first time, I’d have an office job, I would pair these bright strappy pumps with a charcoal suit, and after work, slip into a slinky LBD, and paint the town red with these purple stilettos. I’m sure you are nodding with me right now, these heels are also perfect for parties, weddings or even something grand, like a ball! So light and comfy (and affordable!!! Where else can you get well hand-crafted shoes that are leather upper, leather lined and leather soled for this price?), I couldn’t help but skip a little. I guess my new heels brought a spring back into my step, even in autumn. And just as true love stands the test of time, I know that I will treasure these heels from Tragen for years to come, because that is the power of love-at-first-sight.
