Ok picture this. One minute you’re operating on a kitten wearing a surgical hat, the next minute you’re holding a glass of French champagne, meeting the Emperor himself, Napoleon Perdis. Welcome to my life of juggling. The first thing the makeup tycoon said to me was to point out that I had lipstick on my teeth. Should I have died of embarrassment? Isn’t it just the best way to meet the makeup artist I’ve always admired? No further ice-breaking required! Should I have told him that I, as always, got changed in the car from vet scrubs and applied my lippie in my car’s rear view mirror? Well at least we bonded over my makeup faux-pas at first sight! I always feel overwhelmingly nostalgic when I attend boutique launches. Memories flood back, I have so much admiration, respect and awe for shop owners because of my experiences. Especially this lifestyle boutique by Napoleon. What an amazing concept to combine beauty, fashion, homeware, art and jewellery all under the one chandelier-clad roof? It felt like we were walking through the pages of a fashion magazine. So much eye-candy, be prepared to drool…
Don’t think I’ve ever visited a store that sells Picasso art, Chanel jewellery, Milly dresses, Cecile et Jeanne hangbags, animal-shaped shot glasses, bird-embellished decanters and an entire range of makeup altogether before. But that’s because I’ve never set foot into Napoleon’s Life.Style. The brands in the store are close to Napoleon and Soula-Marie’s hearts. They discovered these fabulous labels on their travels from Athens, Paris, London and New York. For example, the dinner-ware is by IONIA from Athens that the couple also use at home, the leather bags are their personal favourites, and cushions are made from their favourite vintage designer scarves. After all, beautiful makeup, interesting art and magnificent décor are all extensions of Napoleon’s passion for all things glamour. And you see all the colourful clothes? I’d trade them for my surgeon scrubs for them any day.

Being a current veterinarian, this is definitely a perfect resurce.
Man, I I can remember when I was in vet school
and many people quickly found out that it is not really a warm and comfortable job like they
believe it may be! Messy vet’s scrubs, long hours,
little rest, as well as lots to figure out, however it is really worth it.
This certainly applies to all veterinarians.
