This morning I attended the Zara Chadstone launch with Connie (K for Kani), Jess (What Would Karl Do) and fellow blogers at the Fashion Capital to welcome the Spanish giant’s second flagship store in Melbourne. You may recall the Bourke St Mall launch in this post. Zara just keeps answering the prayers of fashion-forward stylistas. Inside the spacious store, designed similarly to the New York Fifth Avenue one, I see pieces inspired by the likes of Acne, Balenciaga, Balmain, Celine, Chanel, Chloe, Givenchy, Isabel Marant, 3.1 Phillip Lim and more, but still beautifully made and very affordable. I am captivated by a super soft cream lambskin leather biker jacket and a pair of silk paisley pants in the mens section. By 9:30 am, the doors opened, as did wallets, customers soon flooded the floors. I retreated to pick up my dog who went missing last night (praise God someone found her and sent her to my vet clinic) and to post this for you. I cannot wait to revisit Zara, hopefully the pieces I have set my sights on have not sold out…
And now, I’ve got to figure out an outfit and head to Circa The Prince for a charity luncheon! Food and frivolity, here I come!
