The secret of Cecylia’s hair and a $150 Rokk Ebony Voucher Give-away!

I’m not trying to sound modest, but honestly the only part of my body that I like, is my hair. Every hairdresser I have met and have been blessed to work with have commented on how ’shiny’, ‘healthy’ and ‘straight’ my hair is. But regular readers of my blog, Twitter and Facebook will know that I am a junk food addict, cake is my food staple and I don’t sleep enough. The truth is, I’m actually a very low maintenance person and rarely get anything done to my hair, just the 3 monthly trims. So here are some answers to your questions:

  1. I’ve never straightened my hair – all credit to gravity
  2. I’ve never dyed my hair- all credit to the sun’s rays
  3. I wash my hair every 2 days
  4. I drink a lot of water and green tea
  5. I don’t really brush my hair, usually with my fingers, or once a week with a paddle brush

<<Learning to make macarons>>

And that’s the extent of my hair regime. Wait til you hear about my skincare/makeup routine! I’m a total minimalist! So dear ones, if you have any advice on haircare or good hair products, please send them my way!

Since I want your hair to get a head start, I would love one of my gorgeous readers to have this Rokk Ebony hairdressing voucher, valued at $150! Because I’m low maintenance, trims are enough, I wouldn’t know what to do with such a great voucher! Rokk Ebony has been the winner of Salon of the Year 10 times and is the home to Australian Hairdresser of the Year, Australian Colourist of the Year and Australian Men’s Hairdresser of the Year, just to name a few of their hundreds of accolades. If you would like to receive this voucher, open to boys and girls, be my friend on Facebook and  tell me what your favourite hair product is below in the comments section. It’s that easy!

Happy commenting gorgeous and have a great weekend!

I have been using Al’chemy Lavender Shampoo for a couple of months now and I have noticed my hair gets less oily (I have fine hair), does not get tangled as easily and it’s not weighing down!!! Natural shampoo at its best with a nice lavender smell. I can now wash my hair every second day. Gotta love Al’chemy!

You do have such gorgeous hair! For awhile, I also didn’t use a brush & just my fingers (that is, until my hair got long) lol.

My daughter wants a hair straightener for Christmas, she loves straight hair. She has Japanese hair but with Sicilian hair (I am Sicilian and my husband is Japanese) so her hair is a bit curly, not really straight like Japanese hair. I am following you from Rome. You-re so pretty.

Fun blog! Love your gorgeous hair and hair cut too! My favourite hair product is Morrocon Oil. A couple of drops makes your hair shiny and smooth. Too easy!

You have beautiful hair. If mine wasn’t so darn thick and poofy (after a wash) I’d chop it off like yours. I’ve always loved the look of a bob, but alas with my hair it’s be a crazy high maintenace job. :(

I love your blog.

Thanks for your always sweet comments, darling!

Rokk Eb is awesome! Went for the first time two weeks ago and seriously havent had a bad hair day since. Lol probably has something to do with how mucb shorter it is now.
As fas as hair and skin care goes for me, I’m so lazy, i dont have a routine but when i do try to take care of them I use coconut oil which are great for both hair and skin. And now I also use Morrocanoil which ive always wanted to try and bought it from Rokk Ebony when.i got my hair done there (:
lol and cecylia your hair looks so good all the time i wouldve thought it was due to high maintenance.
P.S.- aloe vera makes a good occasional home facial mask :)

cecylia December 24, 2011 at 12:01 am

Thank you so much for your amazing comment, I would love to try Moroccan oil one day ;) and aloe Vera too, thank you for the advice!!!;)

yup, just what I thought, a complete natural beauty! I think when it comes to hair, it’s best to let it do what it wants, in the end this is what suits you most anyway! lucky for you though you don’t suffer from frizz, this kiillls me! xx

cecylia January 6, 2012 at 3:49 pm

‘thanks Sacha, I think it’s impossible for Asians to get frizzy hair- something to do with too much hydrogen bonding…

oh and my favourite hair product would have to be the aveda air control hair spray! sometimes I spray it over my hair even when I don’t need it because it just smells so damn good!
