I had the pleasure of attending the Alldressedup party in Paris. I had just seen the new collection the day before and let me tell you, it is mind-blowingly beautiful. It makes the buyer’s job so achingly difficult because every piece is so wearable and practical. Think tops and dresses that will take you straight from the office to drinks, in luxurious fabrics and gorgeous colours.
The clothes aside, I met some lovely people with incredible fashion sense- such as Stacey Jones, fashion director of Chicago Magazine. I loved her orange Dolce & Gabanna jacket which she threw on as a cape, her Celine shearing Boston bag which I described as a ‘face’ and her YSL pony skin leopard print pumps. So chic!
I’m in a Manoush (a Parisian label I’ve recently fallen in love with) backless wool dress (a little souvenir from Paris), vintage ostrich clutch and Fendi boots. Did I mention that Michelle Yeoh dropped by? Here she is with her husband Jean Todt, Tina Tan-Leo (creator of Alldressedup) and her husband, Lionel (CEO of Alldressedup). Tina is wearing an Alldressedup shirt (we have this shirt in our boutique!) and yes that’s a Cuban cigar.
I couldn’t resist the chance to get a photo with Michelle even though she looked way better than me from every angle, and she’s nearly twice my age. *sigh*
Oh and turns out, the divine ZhangZiYi is also a fan of Alldressedup. Recently she visited the ION Orchard Alldressedup store and bought many garments with her stylist..
I met some ‘kawaii’ stylists from Japan. The lovely lady on the left also has a blog but it’s in Japanese! I can’t read it!
No good shoes can escape my radar.
I saw this photo a week later and thank God my legs were neatly crossed. With the chic Japanese team, wish I can speak Japanese!
As I sat eating away at the amazing French desserts, one of Tina’s friends started chatting with me and told me that ‘sugar kills collagen’. She was such an elegant and beautiful lady and when she told me her age I nearly fainted. She looked 20 years younger. I think I should put the sugar away…
Oh!! that’s my friend Hiro in the last shot!! Such a small world!! Who were the other stylists, I’ll have to check out their blogs (don’t know if I told you I worked at Japanese Vogue for years?) Sugar kills collagen… oh dear…
Wow, it is a small world. My parents-in-law have a cat named Hiro and I already thought that was a coincidence :P
I think this post information is very educational, especially to those who like myself are outside the any background, but liketo learn about the creating and visual arts.
