Dressing up at Sacred Heart

The Sacre Coeur Basilica is the beautiful white Roman Catholic church situated on top of the Montmartre hill, named because many Christians were martyred there. This is the second time I have visited the church made from travertine stones. This stone constantly exudes calcite, which ensures that the basilica remains white even with weathering and pollution. Last time I came, it was summer and I wore a silk dress and carried around my Nici soft toy ‘Wolfgang’ – a wolf dressed in sheep’s clothing.

Standing outside the ornate copper door with the inscription I’m guessing is ‘The most sacred heart of Jesus’? Perhaps the white church reflects the holiness of God.

Last time I came I didn’t go to the very top so here I am! It was so cold, my cheeks are so red.

We walked up 300 steps to reach the top of the church. The view was breath-taking. Paris, even though was freezing, was still the most beautiful and romantic city in the world.

I found some graffiti.

Wearing a vintage cardigan, top and booties, Dr. Denim jeans and Pauric Sweeney bag. I brought these fun jeans along because in Melbourne, I could only wear it with a plain T shirt. I love Paris, you don’t need to think twice about dressing up.
