Took my new Sonia Rykiel suede pumps out for a test-wear today. They are seriously high heels but ultra comfortable. Italians know how to create shoes! I bought them on sale from Christine, on my day off, when I was supposed to visit boutiques to learn visual merchandising…
It was my first time visiting Christine’s luxurious boutique of designer accessories (thinkLanvin, Vivienne Westwood, Sonia Rykiel, Anya Hindmarch, Pauric Sweeney, Tom Binns, and more). My eyes lit up when I met the talented Christine and got distracted by her opulent merchandise. It was the first time in a long time since I felt like I was in an eye-candy store, last time was probably in Colette, Paris.
Standing against the wall of stars…
Necklace and belt: vintage
Dress: Antonia Goy
This is the Antonia Goy dress I’ve been besotted with lately. It is so warm! I’ve worn it with a vintage necklace and belt and my Vivienne Westwood bone ring from Net-a-Porter. The ruffled part of the dress is actually a hood! I feel like a caped heroine in it, ready to tackle any styling issues.
These are my first Sonia Rykiels, and hopefully not my last =)
A beautiful store called Jessomine recently sadly closed down and I bought so many Volupsa candles from her. They are so decadent. When the candle burns out, I am going to clean the jar and put jewelery in it!
Trying to take a shot by myself is hard work without a tripod…
Oh on a side note, I have been religious in wearing my Repetto black Garbo booties every days. Shoes should be rested for 2 days between wearings to reduce the stress on the leather. Just a useful tip I picked up from magazine reading.
Hope you are all having a great week. Anyone else gone shoe shopping lately?
xx
