I’ve been looking for an iPad case for eons. Was hoping that this vintage Escada clutch would fit my favourite gadget, but it is not accommodating enough; then a Chloe iPad clutch I had my eye on Net-a-Porter was sold out, I thought, this is the end!!! That is, until I received (finally, after waiting over 6 months) my Karla Spetic clutch! I’d ordered it after seeing it at Rosemount Fashion Week. The leather is so soft I think the juxtaposition of a hard electronic device insideit is just brilliant.
Not sure if you noticed, but my skirt is actually a top! :) Where there’s a will, there’s a way. Can you see where I disguised the spaghetti straps? This beautiful 2 toned Violet & I camisole is elasticised so I took advantage of the silken cami and pushed it down my waist (hmm this is sounding a little iffy) to serve me as a skirt with a peplum. Actually love it even more as a skirt. The elastic waist band allows me to pig out and the peplum adds ladylike charm.
Just had to show you the back of this Gasparre Cashmere top. The low back features a leather strip that keeps the sleeves in check. I can’t think of a more luxurious pairing of leather and cashmere, definitely a marriage in hedonistic heaven.
As many of you know, our chihuahua Theodore, is blessed with handsome looks and dashing personality, but did you know that he can also act?
Theodore was recently hand-picked by Melbourne bag designer, Sarah Conners, to be featured in her short film for her new SS12 Aqua collection, the divine python range. Theodore was trained by Luke Hura, the legendary animal handler who also trained Red Dog. The ladies in the film were styled by my beautiful friend Sally (Styled by Sally). Needless to say, I am a super proud mom and we hope that you enjoy viewing it! See if you can spot me in a very tiny cameo appearance :)
Thank you Sarah for this amazing acting opportunity for Theodore! And for demanding the python spit him out afterwards… :)
Can’t believe Christmas is this weekend! How are you all celebrating the Lord’s birthday? What are you all doing during the holidays? I hope you are off to an exotic destination or get to chill at home with lots of friends and food! This blog is not going on holidays, and I’m relying on you to keep me entertained whilst I vet around the festive season, so stay in touch lovelies by commenting below or come say hi on Twitter and Facebook!
A few weeks ago I went to Premiere, Melbourne’s boutique trade show event for international and Australian labels at the Royal Exhibition Building. It reminded me so much of our previous buying trips to the City of Lights, I feel a little Paris-sick. This is why I wore my Vionnet heels (last seen here), one of longest-established French haute-couture houses that started back in the 20s by Madame Vionnet who transformed the way women dressed by rescuing them from their corsets into elegant bias-cut dresses (which she invented) that showed off their natural forms. She was dubbed “Queen of the bias cut” and “the architect among dressmakers“. I am so pleased that the couture House has been revamped by head designer Rodolfo Paglialunga and will do everything I can to support Vionnet. It is truly legendary!
It was so great to catch up with the gorgeous Rebecca McGeoch, designer of Gasparre Cashmere. Her next winter luxe cashmere collection is so chic and wearable I cannot wait for AW12! Oh, poor Theodore wasn’t allowed in…how I wish that Melbourne could become more pet-friendly like Paris one day, soon!
Have an awesome weeekend y’all! I’m working as a vet on both Sat’day and Sunday and catching up with friends afterwards. To stay connected, come to my Facebook page and follow me on Twitter where I will tickle your fancy with adorable shenanigan updates. I promise.
Last week I was delighted to attend a Dumplings Master Class hosted by David Zhou, the owner of Oriental Tea House, at his new Melbourne Central restaurant. Thanks to my Shanghai heritage, making dumplings was part of our family’s weekly events so I enjoyed assisting other dumpling lovers with the craft. Hope you like the animated picture, hehe :) Dumplings are steamed, super delicious and healthy treats, I really should eat more of them than junk food…
