Recently a good friend came to visit from Canberra, so we caught up at Cafe Umago on Brunswick St in Fitzroy. They have the best tasting and the best variety of pizzas in Melbourne. I headed over in a burnt orange dress from Cue, vintage clutch, a vintage chain necklace and some buckled heels from Nine West. By my definition, a good dinner constitutes good food, good friends and good conversation. These were friends I grew up with, and I am so fond of them. Isn’t it funny that even though you may not catch up with your old friends often, you still feel the close connection and you still ‘get’ each other? And you never run out of things to chat about…
The fresco on the back wall of the restaurant was defnitely eye-catching and set a vibrant atmosphere to our dinner.
I’ve been to Cafe Umago a few times now, but only this time did I notice these cute little stenciled houses leaning against the wall. The meals are delicious and the waiters are very courteous. I indulged in a large plate of Barramundi smothered in creamy-of-mushroom sauce and an equally scrumptious potato salad.
With a big appetite like mine, I never regret wearing loose fitting clothes to dinners.
