Last Sunday was a glorious day. Not a cloud in the sky, very hot and dry – typical of Melbourne weather. Recently, I’e been quited obsessed with my vintage Laurentino bag- it is hand-made from the finest raffia and butter-soft leather straps. It is my summer tote and carry-all. And to my surprise, I can find my phone to pick up calls on time! Oh guys, remember that we had our cameras stolen? Well, insurance has given us a new camera to replace our old Cannon. Check out the pictures.
Everything I’ve thrown on is vintage, except the lace-up espadrilles. My silk blouse was Mom’s, I am really into nude/beige right now. The pink necklace was a recent find in a thrift shop, tiny beads knotted together. I have to say that I have been quite disappointed with most of my vintage beaded necklaces, they all seem to break a the most crucial time, on the dance floor, for example. I am surprised I have not suffered from a broken ankle by tripping over the beads yet. I love my sailor striped Jane Hamilton skirt because it is so comfortable.
Who said that church goers are bland and boring? Here is my friend Vicki, remember her wedding? Her blue dress was heavenly on her figure.
After church, I headed over to my friend Jo’s farewell drinks at the Belgian Beer Garden. There were SOoooOOOO many people. In the end, I finally found her, dressed in a gorgeous apricot dress. To my surprise, we have both embraced the stripey-bottom-half-look.
After Jo’s, I had to dash off to a dinner party. Thank God my wedges are so comfortable. And thank God for good friends. I hope to see Jo in Paris in March. :D
I really like your blouse, I think you’ve pretty much pinned down the nude and nautical trends in one outfit!
