I know what you bought last summer. Every girl bought a pair of the It-shoes- gladiator sandals. They came in all different colours and heights, strappy or studded. I bought 4 pairs! A black patent leather number from Switzerland, a chocolate leather lace-up pair from Witchery, a light brown strappy number from Greece and a golden leather pair from Country Road. All of which are flats. A very clever and fashion-savvy lady has invested in some gladiator pumps. Usually I would not approve since gladiators obviously did not fight in heels but these studded sandals are so gorgeous I would use them as paper weights too.
It is difficult to believe how Alber Elbaz is able to create the most enchanting and feminine clothes and accessories. He continues to impress the Lanvin audience season after season and to produce elegant garments for his celebrity clients . These mouth-watering neck pieces are so stunning and classic. The top two are on a fine piece of sheer silk, ready to be hand-stitched onto the neckline of garments. Bejewelled, anyone?
There is a sneak peak at designer Alice Temperley’s personal collection of rings. Obviously a lover of costume jewelry and one who looks after her assets. How shiny is her aquamarine ring! They are yummy enough to eat! I love the finger adornments with eye-catching designs. Just add a cocktail dress and some frivolous shoes, and you’re good to go.
If I had to pick a favourite, it would be the coral rose ring. It is exquisitely sculpted. I can see how it could have been her inspiration for her goddess gowns in her 2007 Fall collection…
“A light-brown strappy number from Greece”?! When did you go to Greece? Why wasn’t I invited?
Honey, they are ‘MADE IN GREECE’ =) I’ve been there many times, on Titan Quest
