A label that gets the most attention at our boutique is Felder Felder. Their dresses are just spectacular. You would have seen the sequined Victory dress here, or the silk grey dress from their AW09 colection here. If you haven’t heard of them before, relax and allow me to do the introduction:
FELDER FELDER was launched by identical twin sisters Annette and Daniela Felder, while still studying at Central Saint Martins in London 2006/2007. The German-born ex-models haven’t looked back since.
The sisters established a signature style with their feminine rock and roll aesthetic, which was quickly embraced by singers and actresses, including Rihanna, Gwyneth Paltrow, Florence and the Machine and Allison Mosshart.

The Felder sisters are intrigued by opposites and combine contrasts in their collections, aiming to achieve the perfect balance in each design. Their bold, yet modern and sensual aesthetic, has won Felder Felder the respected New Gen Award for three consecutive seasons, a nomination for The British Fashion Awards 2008, a cult celebrity following and the support of the most sought after stores in the World. Felder Felder has always been a rock’n’roll label. How has the relationship with music artists come about?
Annette Felder – Mutually, we’ve been approached by quite a few stylists who thought FF would work really well for the artists they work with, which has resulted in some exciting collaborations and relationships.
Name three things that are inspiring you for autumn/winter 2010:”Nightmare fantasies, heroines and tomboys.”
What are your design signatures: “Working with contrasts and finding harmony in them.”
How would you describe the Felder Felder woman? “She is inspired, individual and she knows what she wants. She is a woman who is fun to be around.”
What encapsulates fashionable London for you? “Street markets where you see people dressed perfectly at 10am. That’s fashionable London.”
What do you hope the new decade will mean for your brand? “Steady growth.”
How does London influence your designs? “From the traffic to the style, London always has a slightly rough edge which we can identify with in our designs.”

I was lucky enough to meet Annette and Dani in March at Paris Fashion Week. I felt like a midget next to them. It was the only day I did not wear heels in Paris.
Here is a sneak peak at what’s coming next season. Their AW10/11 collection will be in stock at Cecylia in August. I can’t wait!
