I’d love to say that this our bedroom, but the opulent manchester and pristine timber floors is the give-away. This room belongs to someone with more style, class as well as a penchant for animal skin. I’ll admit it, out of all the rooms at our place, our bedroom is the untidiest.
It still houses boxes of my clothes and hubby’s unused IT equipment. We are pretty ashamed of the room hence why it’s the only room out of bounds for visitors. I love having people over, not only for their company and the social aspect, but their imminent arrival propels me into cleaning mode. That is, every room except our bedroom.

This incredible property in Gardenvale served as a great reminder that the bedroom needs as much attention and TLC as the rest of the house, if not more! A well-designed and uncluttered bedroom helps couples to rest, relax and recharge. It is also where intimacy and heart-to-heart conversations take place. Especially in the case of young parents like us, we need all the help we can get when it comes to sleep and communication, because a strong marriage is vital for healthy and happy children.
For many families, the parents’ bedroom can also be the safe haven for little ones to escape from night terrors or other fears like toothaches and fevers. So parents, we deserve (and owe it to our families) to have peaceful, clean and uncluttered bedrooms! I’ll start our BR makeover by moving out those boxes to the garage tonight…
