Do you listen to podcasts? I’ve been addicted to Paleohacks lately. For those of you who haven’t heard the conversational-style interviews before, they are entertaining, informative and super inspiring talks to encourage us to lead healthier and happier lives. I love it that they don’t just regurgitate facts but address the deeper issues in lifestyles and relationships. 2 things I learnt recently which may benefit you are:
- The importance of standing to improve our posture. So many of us, especially when we’re at work, are hunched over at a computer, glued to our screens, not budging an inch from our seats, for hours. As you can imagine, or have experienced, this is recipe for back pain. So the experts on Paleohacks recommended listeners to get up every 90 minutes (apparently our productivity drops after that long too) and ideally, take a walk. If this is not possible for you, simply standing as often as you can will save your back.
- The excuse-less exercise: high intensity interval training (HIIT) you can do any time, anywhere. All you need is a routine, a watch (stopwatch preferably) and a bit of stamina. That last one comes with practise by the way. No equipment is needed, in fact you don’t even need runners! The key is to keep the heart elevated for maximal calorie burn. For great HIIT sample workouts, head over [HERE].
- The multitasking stress relief: the bath not only removes physical grit, it also reduces emotional stress. A bath improves our complexion, mood and overall health, plus it’s a great place to relax, reflect and recharge.
Hopefully these 3 tips encourage and inspire you as they did for me. Wishing you a productive and relaxing day!
Love these tips Cecylia!
Definitely feel like I need to add baths to my schedule for unwinding.

don’t we all! I give Winston baths every day but rarely have one myself. Maybe we should schedule in weekly bathes…
