It’s that time of the year again when we reflect on the year gone by and compare notes about our new years resolutions. Even though last year I tried to set tangible goals – read a book every week, eat less cake – by the end of January I was back to square one. I can count the number of books I read last year on one hand, and the number of cakes I consumed on…more than two.
So this year, thanks to an exuberance-zapping flu, a very active one-year-old, and a very timely sermon, I’m going to focus on one thing: REST. By resting more, I’ll be able to take better care of my health, eat better (rather than eating to stay awake) and even learn to say ‘no’ every once in a while. I really believe that, by taking care of my resting, the rest will take care of itself.
What about you? Do you have any resolutions to accomplish this year, or will you join me and try to do less for once – in a world addicted to busy-ness that would be an accomplishment in itself.
Love this outfit on you Cecylia! :)
A very good resolution to have too! This year I don’t really have one particular resolution, although there is always lots to work on. I’m just trying to take each day as it comes and do my best within that day :) Not really a goal setting kinda person, like you I find I quickly loose track of my goals!
Happy New Year Cecylia! Rest is very important for me too. And by that i mean sleep. I’m definetely going to do that more!
This is an epiphany! St Augustine said, ” Our hearts are restess till we rest in Him.” Those photos are so relaxed and restful too! Well done Chian Kee! Great team:)
I love that ring CC! :) And great resolution.. rest is so important, especially getting enough sleep and enough ‘me’ time. This year I have two resolutions – run a half marathon & be more positive about & kinder to myself.
Argh! I’ve given up on resolutions! But good luck with yours..!!
I never seem to get enough sleep – but I guess there’s no rest for the wicked!! ;)
