Last night I was delighted to attend the Hat Couture Evening at the Park Hyatt Melbourne. Any excuse to go back to one of my favourite hotels in Melbourne, get dolled up to catch up with friends and learn more about millinery! I can’t believe how quickly the Racing season has dashed upon us. I’m going to the Caulfield Guineas Day this Saturday and haven’t even planned an outfit yet… First world problems aside, it was so inspiring to see the incredible headpieces by three of Melbourne’s finest milliners: Kerrie Stanley, Jill Humphries and Kim Fletcher. Ladies had the opportunity to try on the head pieces, receive millinery style tips and even have the milliners design their very own couture hat.
Bree Laughlin, model and presenter, one of the best dimples in the biz and I chatted about racewear fashion and fitness!
Bree & Meagan Harding, stylist and photographer, also sporting a Kerri Stanley headpiece.

Jane Rocca, fashion-music-culture editor of the Weekly Review, and Emily. Don’t you love her hot pink Sergio Rossi heels?!
Catherine Cervasio, creator of Aromababy, and Janine Lum, Director of European Women in Business.

Aside from oogling all the hats, I was busy chowing down the race-day inspired canapés created by Park Hyatt Melbourne’s head chef Dane Clouston. Check out his delicious chicken pâté and steak tartare bites! If you haven’t been to Radii Restaurant, you’re seriously missing out.
Anyhoos, I better go and find something to wear this Saturday or they won’t let me into the race course!
