I’m still a little shocked by what had just happened 24 hours ago. I had the opportunity of a lifetime to meet one half of the legendary Dolce & Gabbana duo! Domenico Dolce made an appearance at this Collins St boutique with stunning songbird Kylie Minogue, clad in the latest Dolce & Gabbana runway offering.
Before this photo was taken, Hubby and I looked everywhere for them around the store amongst a sea of well-heeled fashion folks, but with no avail. He was like an asymptote, always moving on and never within reach. I was at the point of giving up when Mr Dolce himself came up to me and greeted yours truly with a cheek-to-cheek and struck a pose with his fabulous friend.
You may recognise some gorgeous faces below as you scroll. Oh and don’t worry, I got a few snaps of the merchandise too.
All Tees lead to Rome. Why not wear a piece of history on your sleeve? This may be menswear but I’d wear it with leggings and sneakers in a heartbeat.
Something else happened on the night that I must mention: being a clumsy-head, I spilt one of those delicious Martini-glass-filled cocktails on myself. But thanks to a very thoughtful and nimble sales assistant by the name of Dean, he gave me a napkin dabbed in soda water (obviously with prior experience). And thank God I wore black. So if I didn’t tell you, you probably wouldn’t have noticed the streak down the front of my Salabianca dress…
Thanks to Madam Virtue for giving me this dress for my birthday 3 years ago. I finally found the right event to wear it to!
And thanks to my dear Mum for babysitting Winston so that we could duck out and mingle.
