To say that my Mum is my favourite person in the world is an understatement. (But what about your hubby? You ask. Well this is a Mother’s Day tribute, so I don’t think he will mind) She is my role model, my hero, my pride and joy.

I’ve never met a more generous person than her. No one enters her house without being fed and clothed. And no one leaves without a lift and a bag of her gourmet goodies. Her fridges and freezers are full of dumplings, spring onion cakes and wontons that she makes for those in need. She would rather starve than to see others without food. My Mum regularly takes care of overseas visitors, the elderly, the poor, extending her hospitality even to strangers.

I’m not telling you all this to brag about my Mum. I’m bragging about God. It is because of the sacrificial love of Jesus Christ that my Mum has become so selfless and kind over the years. Even when the very people she cares for are mean to her, she continues to bless them. Her face is always radiant with joy, her mouth filled with thanksgiving and her knees quick to kneel to pray for others. They say that you can’t chose your family. Well, I’m glad! I could never have chosen a more wonderful mother. And I am so blessed to call her ‘MaMa’.

This is my first Mother’s Day as a Mum (technically last year’s didn’t count since baby was still inside…) so it feels extra special. I hope that whether it is your first, or your fiftieth, you will have a memorable Mother’s Day: surrounded by your family, showered with love, and treasured by all. Happy Mother’s Day beloveds!

要说我妈妈是世界上我最喜欢的人都不过分。（那你的先生呢？你可能这么问。这是母亲节称赞，我想他不会介意。）我母亲是我的榜样，我的骄傲和喜乐。

我从没见过比她更大方的人。没有一个人进了她家没有吃饱穿暖的。也没有一个人离开的时候不是带着一袋美食被送走的。她的冰箱和冰柜了装满了她为那些有需要的人准备的饺子，葱油饼和云吞。她宁可自己饿着也不愿看到别人没吃的。我的母亲定期照顾海外访客，老年人，穷人，甚至还款待陌生人。

我不是借此吹嘘我母亲。我在夸耀神。在这几年里借着耶稣基督的牺牲的爱我的妈妈变成了一位无私有爱的人。就算她在乎的人对她不好，她还祝福他们。她的脸上总是散发着喜乐的光，她的嘴总是充满了感恩的话，她的膝盖总是可以为他人马上跪下祷告。人们说你不可以选择你的家庭。我很庆幸自己永远不用选择一位更美好的母亲。我多么有福可以称她为“妈妈”。
