It was love at first sight when I met this Livia Arena silk organza skirt. You may recall me wearing the short version at the Park Hyatt Melbourne here, but this longer version is even more endearing because it can also be worn as a strapless dress! Thanks to the elasticised waist band. Such clever design. I skipped the belt to be more in tune with fashion’s current Zeitgeist.
When we took these photos, I bumped into my Miss Sixty manager from my teenage years. She was one of my first fashion inspirations, aside from my mother. She taught me to be selective, to have a personal style and stick to it. Ok, so she never said those exact words, but she led by example. Her style was always bright, edgy and fun, even as she was out walking her pooch that day in her sports gear.
No matter how the trends change, I’ve always found myself drawn to feminine and relaxed styles. Comfortably chic, elegant and effortless, that’s what I aim for. Especially now that I have a bub with two demanding ends to take care of, let’s see how long I last before I surrender to cotton dacks.

[spoiler title=”中文版”]这条Livia Arena裙子,我们真是一见钟情.你可能还记得我在Park Hyatt宾馆穿着同样款式但就短一点的Livia Arena裙子。这条长的版本更惹人喜爱，腰带有弹性，因此你可以将它当长裙穿！。多么巧妙的设计啊！我没带皮带这样更符合最近的款式。
当我们拍这些照片的时候，刚巧我碰到了我以前在Miss Sixty上班的经理，我们已经将近七年没见了。除了我的母亲，她的穿着很给我受影响。从她，我学到穿着要有选择性，要有个人风格。虽然她其实从没这样说过，但她以身作则。她穿得总是五颜六色，并代有一点男孩子个性。即使那天我见到她穿这运动装在遛狗的时候还很时髦。
无论潮流怎么变，我总发现自己对比较女性和轻松风格的时装更被吸引。舒适，别致和优雅，这是我穿着的目标。特别是现在，作为一个新的妈妈，穿着开始有点改变。让我们看看我能‘挺’多久会放弃穿漂亮的衣服。

That skirt makes a beautiful dress! I really like it with the bright pink heels too, such a great outfit for a hot day :)
I’m trying to wear my regular clothes to feel more like myself during pregnancy – but I’m also already wondering how I will go post-pregnancy dressing. I think that is definitely a time when you will have earned the right to some trackie dacks! You always look so stylish though :)
Thanks Mica. Lol someone once said, maybe Karl Lagerfeld? That if you wear trackie dacks, it means ‘defeat’ :D I figured that it’s all going to get dirtied anyway, so why not start with a decent outfit? :D
