Coco Chanel once said “Luxury must be comfortable, otherwise it is not luxury.” The older I get, the more I appreciate her wisdom. Clothes that are well made are usually much more comfortable, because the designer has taken into careful consideration the cut, the silhouette and the fabric for the wearer. This outfit is high up on the comfort scale whilst not compromising on style. These days I literally just grab and go. Although Karl Lagerfeld says that wearing trackie dacks is a sign of defeat, in my defence, these are technically shorts. And if you’ve had a squiz at the AW14 runways, the sports luxe trend is not showing any sign of slowing down.
