Getting Shirty

Earrings made by Leeyong / Mr Rose Shirt dress / Vintage sunnies, belt & bag / Habbot shoes

The DIY earrings strike again! What can I say? Vintage tassels are my weakness. They are so adorable and have Leeyong (the maker) and me (the wearer) written all over it. But another piece which has captured me as of late is this silk poppy printed shirt dress by Sydney label Mr Rose. You may recall seeing it recently on Instagram. Perfect for work, drinks, holidays and even sleep! I plan to wear it for the rest of my life. The collar has been turned not only to reveal the print but also to suggest the pajama trend, which I crave to exhibit but am still in search for the perfect silk PJs…please inform me if you see a suitable pair. The other reason why this dress was chosen is because of its colours, just in time for the Australia Long Weekend! I am ecstatic to have this weekend off it feels like a holiday! No doubt I will put it all to good use, feel free to have a squiz on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram (@cecyliadotcom) for all the fun shenanigans!

What do you think of the dress and what are you up to this weekend?

Love the dress. The mix of the vibrant blue and the poppy print is just lovely. And the accessories most definitely appeal to my red-loving heart :)

The gallery is not playing nicely for me today, but from the photos I can see you look great in the dress! Very patriotic for this weekend, and such a nice print :)

Enjoy your well deserved break – hope the weather is nicer than ours! Although a wet weekend curled up on the sofa will be quite nice actually :)

guess what? I’ve been called into work today lol, but will still have 2 days off which i’m super thankful for. I’ll take a squiz at the gallery, perhaps the photos are a little too big :D What are you up to this weekend?

Sorry to hear you’ve been called in! Hope it’s not an overly hectic day and you get plenty of time to relax over the other 2 days :)

The gallery thing could just be my computer – it’s getting old! Hopefully get time to work on it this weekend.

hey! Thank you so much for the sweet comment :). What an awesome blog you have. It’s so cool that you made those earrings yourself! We love doing DYI projects as well, especially for skirts and dresses. We’re following you on GFC, so if you’d like to follow back that would be great!
