Has anyone told you that I’m a huge vintage nut? If not, this outfit will speak for itself. The candy-stripe jacket and French-speaking-Tee that would make Alber Elbaz proud have been in my life for nearly 2 decades. (Yeah I started collecting vintage when I was 2). I was doing just the thing the lady in the sequinned scene was doing last week: shopping for head-wear. I’ve realised that short-hair and fascinators are like Montagues and Capulets. They don’t mix. When I wore the beautiful Paula Walden headpiece to Caulfield Guineas Day I couldn’t move my head. A difficult feat for someone who enjoys nodding. So tomorrow for the Melbourne Cup, I’ve made my own headgear. Have a squiz here.
