Last week I had the utmost privilege to attend the Emirates Menu Tasting with hubby, Jess and Sarah. An Irish theme is taking place at Flemington Racecourse this year inside the Emirates Birdcage marquee. Irish food, music and stars will be the highlight, so to give us a glimpse of what is to come, a fleet of Christine Ayres Irish Dancers tapped the night away, giving the mahogany floorboards of the Town Hall a decent workout, and a memorable live performance from international Irish singer Brian McFadden. Mischa Barton couldn’t make it , but she will be the Guest of Honour at this year’s Emirates Melbourne Cup. In the meantime, you’ll just have to settle for our humble recording of Brian McFadden’s acoustic rendition of U2’s “All I Want Is You‘, a dedication to his stunning new bride, DJ Vogue Williams, perhaps?

I had about 10 meetings during the day and didn’t even have time to decide on what to wear (I must admit, long gone are the days when I used to ‘plan’ my outfits). But thankfully, my prayer was answered when the wonderful Pamela Usanto came to the rescue with this white lace dress! The velvet ribbon was added to help me avoid looking like a bridesmaid, and once again the dress beckoned me to go free-range…
