Anything Michael Lo Sordo sets his sights on is accomplished with flying colours. Although a relative new comer to Australian fashion, you only need to take a glance at his past and present collections to see why he has accumulated such a devoted and respected following. The designer cuts and tailors with aplomb. I’ve never seen a Michael Lo Sordo garment in a magazine that I don’t instantly covet. This season, whilst staying true to his fuss-free shapes, his muse is stronger, bolder and more confident. His vivacious energy is channelled through colorful metallics, brillant leathers, Gladiator pleats and dynamic prints inspired by delicate beetles. Minimalistic makeup, combed back hair and sexy sandals that would make Alexander Wang proud, Michael Lo Sordo’s SS12/13 collection is an extraordinary feast for the senses.
What do you think? I think I want the entire collection.
Great runway pics! :)
I love the use of print in this collection – that second dress has an amazing print, real stand-out piece to me. I love it in the other dresses and blazer and skirt, but it just looks so perfect in that sleeveless dress.
I know what you mean, it looks so crisp and modern
What GORGEOUS prints! Very Mary Katrantzou-esque but his tailoring is flawless. I love it.
indeedy he is a cut above!
Wow this is really an awesome collection!! My favourits are the dresses on the second and the third picture!! Beautiful colours and gorgeous pattern!! Very inspiring!

Michael Lo Sordo S/S’13 was quite breahtaking actually. I don’t really know how it feels to be sitting front row but from far away, through the internet, the beauty of some of the pieces are pretty striking. I’m liking their blue range, from metallic blue shorts to laced up metallic blouses. Such a pretty , classy fix =)

I really like a lot of the collection! Some pieces I’m not as crazy about, but to me that means he has a broad appeal. Lo Sordo is definitely a talented designer!
yes there will always be pieces we may not like seeing it but when it’s on you you may change your mind :D
I absolutely love the mirrored prints, it takes them to an extra dimension – it might sound strange, but it totally reminds me of the light scene in a 2001:Space Odessey.

I was disappointed that I didn’t get to see this collection in person. Lucky you! I did see some of the floral-on-white pieces floating around the next day but the brights on black are probably my favourites.
