Happy Chinese New Year everyone! Since I was little, my mother has drummed into me that I should only wear clothes made from natural fabrics or else I’ll turn into a pumpkin. Oh wait, wrong lesson… Natural fibres look better, feel better and age better. And they don’t electrocute you when you remove them. Hence from a teen, I’ve been obssessed with the feel of garments. Yeah, call me ‘materialistic’. When I’m shopping, I literally close my eyes and run my fingers through the racks until I’m satisfied with something soft and luxurious. I’ve actually trained my fingers to decipher between fabrics (acetate, acrylic, alpaca, cashmere, cotton, elastane, leather, linen, polyester, rayon, silk, viscose, wool, and even blends!). I also meticulously check the manufacturer’s label to make sure I’ve not been jibbed by man-made fibres. One of my favourites is Merino wool. Fine-weight, light, soft and durable. They mold to you and are layer-friendly.
Where: on route to Chinese New Year Dinner, hence the sans-makeup, who wears makeup to see their parents?
Love the colour of your shirt, and your shoes!
Also, you are SO ridiculously lucky to have such awesome skin without makeup!! :)

Happy Chinese New Year!! {You look great sans makeup!}
I am a huge fanatic of natural fibers. My fingers aren’t trained as well as yours though – I still have to look at the tag from time to time!

thanks Sam! I’ve forced my fingers to learn a lot these years but the tag always helps and sometimes surprises me still ;)
Happy Chinese New Year! Your bag coordinates so well – I’m always checking labels as I prefer natural fabrics – I like the fabric to feel soft and luxurious ( and not itchy!) Merino wool and silk are gorgeous.

Hehe I know you like tartan ;)
Love the skirt:) x
amazing look
You look pretty good in that turtleneck with the pushed up sleeves. Do you usually wear it that way or are they just pushed up because it is a hot day?
It was a really hot day!
This might sound weird, but I’m glad you choose that turtleneck for clothing that was too warm for a hot day. You must have gone to a place where the air conditioning was pretty cool for you to need long sleeves and glooves.
