So this is my outfit for Day Two of RAFW. My amazing mother-in-law bought me this BCBG Max Azria gold leather dress before I became her daughter-in-law. She bought it on her holidays and I was so moved when she described how a lady of her age, with a head of white, was standing in the queue to the change room with a gold leather dress. Should have seen the looks on the other customers’ faces. My mother-in-law and I are not the same size, but she wanted to see if it may fit me. And amazingly, it did.
I wore this dress once before for a vet ball I attended years ago as a strapless number and decided that it needed a second outing. This time, with a crisp white shirt, and MAWI jewellery and a vintage clutch (home of the ipad)
I met this gorgeous blogger, Margaret, of Shine by Three, who bears the same name as my mother-in-law. Margaret is not just a pretty face, she is one smart cookie, studying law/commerce at Sydney Uni. I enjoyed watching her being photographed by every camera in sight throughout RAFW. And she is a dancer! Is there anything this sweet girl cannot do? I adore her so much, guess I’ve never had a younger sister before.
And another M-lady – the ravishing Micah, of Raww Blog! This blogger was also photographed extensively by the big names in fashion.
Ahhh, and also the gorgeous Michaela and her mother, Mrs McDonough, of the cult leather-goods label Estilo. Michaela had invited me to the VIP bar from day one, but my sleep-deprived head declined her kind offer. So when I took up on her offer on the second day, I was kicking myself for not going earlier.
Look at this place! There were gourmet canapes and fashion editors everywhere. Rosemount wine was keen for everyone to try every flavour of their new Botanicals range.
And the glowing plate of dishes behind me? That’s the Sydney Opera House. And the giant pimple on my face? That’s Oscar. He decided to tag along with me to fashion week.
I’m wearing: vintage shirt, Mawi necklace and ring, BCBG Max Azria leather dress, vintage clutch, Sonia Rykiel pumps
Oscar’s wearing: a touch of foundation
No I didn’t draw it
I used photoshop in my picture ;)
Thanks for comment in my blog I´m following you

[…] As mentioned previously, I didn’t shop much on our recent holidays in Singapore and HK, I think my lust for shopping has mellowed a tad recently, maybe because I’m getting old :D I still love shopping, but I’m no longer obsessed about it. Nevertheless I did pick up a couple of incredible designs in Singapore and Hong Kong, which I will share with you in the coming weeks. One of my spoils on the trip were these marvellous silk snakeskin print pants from BCBG Max Azria, who is also responsible for revamping Hervé Léger. I’d been searching high and low for a pair that’s not polyester and have pockets. I found them 2 hours before our flight back home! Now these BCBG pants can join the other Max Azria piece in my wardrobe, this gold leather dress. […]
