A few weeks ago the lovely Mollie, a representative of the emerging Australian It-bag label Estilo Emporium came to visit me. Her stunning accessories took me by surprise and she was kind enough to let me photograph her. Check out her casual but edgy outfit! She is wearing Estilo Emporium jacket, boots and bag from their AW10 collection.
Estilo Emporium is founded in Sitges, a small fishing village on the Costa Brava in Spain, the leather-wear label represents the ultimate in elegance and style. Attention to detail is integral to Estilo Emporium’s designers, Mac and Mardee McDonough. Each accessory is created with intricate care and craftsmanship. The brand’s philosophy is to make classic accessories with a twist. We like! Pieces maintain archetypal foundations, and are updated with unique and contemporary embellishments such as metal zips and buckles, and brass domes. The studded bag Molly is carrying is paved with silver studs.
Estilo’s designers travel the world seasonally to blend the artisan aesthetic and quality manufacturing they learnt in Spain with influences they pick up from around the globe. The result is an edgy, runway range. Above is the Estilo leather fingerless glove.
Their bags are created in the most buttery soft leathers and include some HUGE designs – roomy enough for the girl who wants to pack action into every minute of her life, and every inch of her bag. You may recall seeing this label in Shop Til You Drop and Grazia over the years. This bag below will certainly trigger a memory or two. A ‘classic’ design by Estilo Emporium, this bag is going to be a staple in every collection, recreated with different leathers and colours.
Estilo Emporium bags are very well priced and make the perfect everyday bag. I can’t wait to get my hands on one!

Hello Marde! It is always exciting to browse through your life all the way arcoss the country. The internet still amazes me.
I wonder if you knew of any retro or vintage outlets that I could buy clothes from. I bought a resale shop on land contract but, it was not run well by the second owner and I have been working from 9am until 3am every night clearing out the garbage (poor quality clothing) she took in from cheap department stores! It was basiclly a mess with a cute bow on it but, I have put every dime back into and I have no choice but to make it a huge success because, I have four kids counting on me.
I think I am going to stop buying clothes from people and get in as many items that the teens are asking me to order. They want vintage skirts, boots and flats the most but, I need a little of everything as well as men’s wear. Do you know of any resonable wholesale companies that drop ship? Or perhaps somewhere I can go in Chicago, New York or LA?
I have teenagers that hang out at the store every single day, they help me for free and they are even planning to have a Holloween party in the store. I see a huge need for filling this store with flare for these kds, ages 16-26.
I think you can get a flavor for what I am doing, yes?
I also have to paint the inside of the store any ideas on paint colors or lay out?
I would be thrilled if you could help me out in any way at all. I am just exhausted from digging through used clothes and so are the teens who work here.
Thank you so much, I love you,
Beth
