The most colourful label at our boutique is Alldressedup. Everyone is drawn to the beautiful texture of the silk garments and their incredible bold hues, see here for an example. This internationally renowned label is stocked over 50 boutiques across the globe and it is not even 5 years old! Alldressedup is a contemporary, stylish and innovative fashion label with a penchant for eclectic and unique thematic design details. See their website for the runway show!
AW09 Runway in Singapore.
Luxury Internet store Net-A-Porter also stocks Alldressedup. In fact, that was where I was first introduced to the label. Our boutique is currently their only Australian stockist. We are lucky enough to have a very large range from their SS10 collection (see below). On my summer holiday last year in Singapore, I visited the concept store and the AW09 collection blew me away. I adored all the necklaces!
When asked about the name of the label, ‘I was all dressed up at the age of six!’ explains founder and creator Tina Tan-Leo referring to the philosophy and inspiration behind her Singapore-based label.
I met Tina in March earlier in the year in Paris at Fashion Week. She is one stylish lady! With 30 years of experience in the luxury and fashion retail business, Tina takes her inspiration from ‘the bohemian spirited traveler in every women who owns her style’ and chic urban women who are not swayed by fleeting seasonal trends. For spring summer 2010, Alldressedup present vivid jewel tones, lavish draping and exquisite detailing including knotting, ruching and ruffles. The collection is named ‘Pop Asia’, each garment is named after a city in Asia and each accessory (necklace, bag, passport holder) is named after a holiday resort in Asia.
Here are some pictures of their current season, the colours are literally ‘eye-popping’. The coral ‘dress’ in the second picture is actually a jumpsuit, we stock it in the black, and we have the blue bag!
Here are the garments in real life at our boutique:
The fun and bright bags, some leather, some vinyl, some with silicon handles.
This is the first collection Alldressedup has experimented with silicon, an innovative fabric that is both durable and striking. It is also anti-inflammable (think silicon baking trays).
Pick up your own leather/silicon passport holder from the boutique. They’re absolute necessities for the well-travelled fashionista.
I think Melbournians needs to embrace the Alldressedup philosophy- we need to get out of our comfort zone (what I mean is the all-black attire we’re mundanely seen in) and get dressed up more often. We owe it to ourselves!
Those necklaces are so clever! Great for weekend or to brighten up a Melbourne-noir ensemble! I loved the silk yellow pants you have in store; they’re totally first-class! Xx Cheryl
Yes the Melbourne-noir ensemble…we are such a laid back bunch…
Yeah those yellow pants are going to rock my summer world!
Look forward to seeing you next time at the boutique! New designers coming in the next few months! So excited =D
